Responsibilities include: assisting the Head Women’s Swimming Coach in planning and organizing all phases of a Division I women’s swimming program including: recruitment and holistic development of student-athletes; home and away meet preparation and management; assisting with facility operations and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
Recruiting Coordinator responsibilities include: work directly with the Head Coach to develop a recruiting plan; organizing official and unofficial visits; prospect evaluations; recruiting database management and general recruiting and social media responsibilities.
Coaching responsibilities include: Assist in the development of an appropriate training plan. Plan, and lead daily workouts in various training group settings. Provide consistent feedback to athletes on technique, strategy and developmental opportunities. Provide feedback during competition.
Bachelor’s degree; previous collegiate coaching experience as a Head or Assistant Coach of a Women’s NCAA swimming program; knowledge of and prior experience recruiting at the national level; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; strong commitment to the academic goals of the University; excellent organizational, communication and public relations skills; and USA Swimming, Lifeguard, CPR/First Aid certifications needed at time of employment.
Prior Division I participation and/or coaching experience; strong recruiting and/or recruiting coordinator experience; successful experience leading a training group through an NCAA cycle; and prior experience of community outreach and/or involvement with University activities.
Commensurate with experience.
