Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Academic Services Senior Professional, Education Program Coordinator position.

Specific Duties:

  • Coordinates educational activities (e.g. didactic conferences, research conferences, Silverman Lectureship Visiting Professor Series etc.) that support the Training Program's curriculum and adhere to ACGME and LCME requirements.
  • Provides guidance in the areas of hospital and GME policies and non-clinical aspects of the Program to students and residents rotating through the Section and to fellows within the Training Program.
  • Assist in the creation of new initiatives focused on education and training within the Section (e.g. expanding the learning program for medical students and residents rotating through the Section)
  • Establishes and disseminates annual rotation, clinic and call schedules.
  • Manages dissemination and completion of student/resident/fellow, faculty and program evaluations
  • Coordinates accreditation activities including LCME and ACGME Site Visits, and annual program reviews.
  • Manages duty hour and evaluation reports and ensures reporting/completion compliance.
  • Ensures GME policies and procedures are enforced and that Department, Section and Program policies and procedures are created and enforced.
  • Assist Program Director and faculty in planning, developing and implementing student/residency/fellowship program quality improvement projects.
  • Administers MedHub (GME Residency/Fellowship Management System). Records training site/time distribution in MedHub for each fellow for reporting to CMS and HRSA.
  • Coordinates and assists in documentation retrieval for training grant applications, renewals and progress reports.
  • Manages Program operations budget and reimbursements to fellows. Completes Resident Charge Sheets (RCS) accurately reflecting appropriate funding sources, submits reimbursement and travel reimbursement requests. This includes salary budgeting related to the NIH
  • T32 Training Grant and other foundation awards for fellows-in-training.
  • Oversees current and new updates of the ACGME and/or LCME requirements and procedures to help maintain Program compliance and accreditation.
  • Maintains various sensitive documents pertaining to accreditation and regulatory compliance.
  • Manages annual recruitment including the administration of ERAS and NRMP, applicant interviews and fellow selection.
  • Assists Program Director in administrative tasks such as calendaring, correspondence and Program representation.
  • Assures accuracy of travel documentation; monitors and tracks budgetary items and purchase requests for Program Director and fellows.
  • Works with Section to plan the annual Silverman Lectureship, a 2-day education series that benefits trainees, faculty and department.
  • Works with Program Director and department to collaborate on Diversity Equity and Inclusion projects
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned
Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $43,064 to $60,289.  

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
  • 2 years of experience working in an administrative and/or office management role.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Previous budget and auditing experience.
Required: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Experience in a relevant field may substitute for the bachelor’s degree requirement on a year for year basis.

Conditions of Employment:

Must successfully pass a 10-panel drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado

Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal and sex-offender background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years' of direct experience as a fellowship, resident or medical student program assistant/coordinator.
  • Experience working with Medhub is highly desirable.
  • Experience with managing expenses.
