We are committed to continuous education, sustaining cultural humility, and action related to DEI topics including systematic review of policies and procedures to ensure they are in alignment with the DOPsych DEI mission and vision.Nature of WorkThe PRA will support and assist with daily research tasks such as subject recruitment and management, screening assessments, scheduling, and informed consent/assent/HIPAA activities with Women’s Behavioral Health & Wellness.The Women’s Behavioral Health and Wellness Research group includes five principal investigators conducting research on sex and gender differences as well as women’s health across the lifespan. Specifically, the candidate will be integrated into the group to provide research assistance including navigating regulatory submissions, setting up research databases, managing study protocols, recruiting and consenting study participants, and completing mental health assessments. Their extent of involvement in any of these research projects will be assigned by their supervisor as indicated below. This individual will be responsible for collaborating with various faculty and staff across campus on multiple research projects, as well as in contact with study participants. The candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, professional in conduct, posses good inter-personal skills, a team player, and capable of managing their responsibilities with minimal supervision. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position.Professional FieldResearch operations and administrationExamples of Work PerformedThe duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:- Participate in clinical studies process including recruiting/enrolling study participants, obtaining informed consent, completing study assessments including mental health assessments, trauma history interviews and assessment of cognitive functioning, creating and maintaining study binders, collecting and managing data/study records, and reimbursing participants (20%)
- Manage study protocols to ensure regulatory compliance, including writing study regulatory documents (informed consent forms, study protocols and protocol application forms) as well as assisting with submissions to and interacting with COMIRB (20%)
- Create REDCap databases and performing data entries (10%)
- Active participation in department, WBHW-specific team and supervisory meetings, as well as attend PI/lab meetings for specific projects as needed (10%)
- Conduct chart reviews to extract pertinent data for studies (5%)
- Assist in the creation of research recruitment materials and advertising campaigns (5%)
- Work with PIs and other research staff to ensure various studies are performed according to University guidelines and meet regulatory compliance (5%)
- Monitor study budgets and draft progress reports in conjunction with PI and other administrative staff (5%)
- Manage research tracking and other documentation systems to collect data related to requests for service, progress status, completion of tasks, and feedback surveys (5%)
- Work collaboratively with other research staff members in the Department and team members at WBHW, and at times provide cross-coverage for peers when needed (5%)
- Perform administrative duties including scheduling, ordering supplies, arranging events, preparing documents and handouts, and others (5%)
- Perform OnCore research monitoring and regulatory sign-off (5%)
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- One year of experience in academic research
- Experience in data management and analyses
- Experience using statistical programs (SPSS, MPlus, SAS, Excel, etc.)
- Experience with web-based data visualization tools and data dashboards
- Experience with economic analyses and forecast modeling
- Strong scientific writing skills demonstrated through product development
- Experience with administrative data sets
- Familiarity with advanced statistical analyses methods
- Knowledge of foundational statical methods
- Experience in research environments
- Experience with data collection, cleaning, mining and maintenance
- Experience with statistical programs and data visualization tools
- Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot and think critically
