Job Responsibilities:

The candidate will be expected to provide independent clinical services for the pediatric plastic & reconstructive surgery team, including ED consults, OR first assist, post-operative visits, follow-up appointments, new patient exams, and office procedures (excisions, injections, laser treatment, etc). The candidate will also be responsible for the management of in-patient pediatric plastic surgery patients, to include daily rounds, writing of orders, patient assessment, patient education, and discharge.  Additionally, the candidate will be expected to provide independent wound services for all out-patient wound care. This will include wound debridement, wound VAC applications, knowledge of wound care products, and outpatient wound consultations in the ED and clinic areas.

This position requires the ability to engage in a full range of body motion including handling patients, manual and fine finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.  Position also requires standing and walking for extended periods of time as required during the delivery of services.  The position requires normal visual acuity and hearing.  Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids is possible and it is expected that the candidate will be appropriately knowledgeable regarding universal safety precautions. The work schedule may vary but will primarily be Monday-Friday during normal business hours.  Some flexibility may be required.  This position will be required to work at multiple CHCO locations including Main, North, and South. 

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $99,008 to $132,662. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Certification from the appropriate professional society (NCCPA, AANP)
  • Colorado license will be required prior to start date
  • Ability to obtain prescriptive authority (DEA License)
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in pediatric plastic surgery
  • Previous experience in hand surgery
  • Previous experience working in an academic hospital
