Administrative Program Assistant, Center for Research & Fellowships - Georgetown University Main Campus

Requirements

The Administrative Program Assistant (AA) to the Director of the Center for Research & Fellowships (CRF) and the Executive Director of the Honor Council supports administrative and organizational needs in enhancing undergraduate students' academic development and intellectual integrity. The AA provides administrative management in executing the CRF's mission to develop, promote, and advise on undergraduate research and fellowships experiences, and provides support for the Executive Director of the Honor Council in managing and adjudicating violations of the university's honor code and our institutional commitment to upholding academic integrity.

Work Interactions

The responsibilities of the position are split 50:50 between the needs of CRF and the Honor Council. The role is directly supervised by the Director of Undergraduate Research Programs in the Center for Research and Fellowships, and the Executive Director of the Honor Council. Otherwise, the role does not have supervisory or personnel management responsibilities, though occasionally the AA may offer indirect management of non-FTE employees, for example, undergraduate student workers, interns, etc. The AA will interact with a wide variety of campus constituents in managing various research, fellowship, and Honor Council programs; this includes interacting with faculty, staff, students, foundation heads, and senior administrative leaders.

Qualifications

Prior Experience & Training
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an advanced administrative role, working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing diverse administrative tasks with superior detail orientation and discretion
  • Bachelor's degree is required; past experience in higher education preferred
  • Skills & Mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple demands in a setting of high faculty and student contact and interaction
  • Display an open and collaborative mindset, takes initiate, and works well as a member of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across organizational structures with all levels of personnel
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Ability to maintain confidential data and records
  • Experience working with WordPress or website management is preferred
