Job Description:

Program Recruitment & Retention:

  • Achieves enrollment objectives and other benchmarks by recruiting and evaluating prospective UF applicants to partner programs, managing and assisting applicants through the application process, and working with admitted students to retain them in the program
  • Reviews documentation of undergraduate, graduate, and/or transfer students to ensure completeness of applications; monitors applicants progress
  • Builds applicant sources by researching, contacting and networking with appropriate groups, organizations, internet sites, individuals, and more; providing information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; and maintaining rapport
  • Makes outbound calls, emails and other communications to potential applicants and current students to gauge interest, provide information, encourage application, and registration and retention activities for qualified individuals; supports inbound communications
  • Develop candidate and current student relationships; develop relationships with current and prospective partner programs, applicant sources, and more

Managing Processes & Workflows:

  • Perform daily administrative duties; oversee and coordinate day-to-day operations
  • Resolves complex and/or time-sensitive problems
  • Recommend and implement process and work environment improvements
  • Provide analytical and well documented reports; assess and utilize reports for short and long-term decision-making and planning
  • Participate in on-going training

Communication Coordination:

  • Assist with building and managing relationships with current and prospective DESC partner programs and stakeholders; coordinate with stakeholders directly to carry out responsibilities within functional area
  • Respond appropriately, accurately and timely to communications
  • Assist in the development of messaging for various marketing materials, press releases, articles and stories and social media posts on programs supported by Distance Education Service Center
  • Relate specific student interactions to broader marketing strategies
  • Create and maintain training databases and materials, communication templates and other references and materials
  • Coach and provide leadership to DESC team members

Additional Duties:

  • Other duties assigned by supervisor

Expected Salary:

$50,000 - $55,000

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications plus:

Demonstrated experience in customer service, recruiter, and/or admissions officer

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, accurate information; ability to prioritize and respond to communications in a timely manner (approximate 2-3 working business days)

Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; experience working in goal-oriented environment

Ability to work with a range of constituents; demonstrated experience working effectively with a team

Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to be self-directed and work effectively with a team; strong analytical and attention to details skills

Ability to prioritize multiple obligations and deadlines

Experience maintaining confidential data

Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint

Experience working in Salesforce’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system a plus
