Job Summary Reporting to the Director of University Housing & Residence Life, the Administrative Assistant provides a high level of administrative support through coordination, communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and the office management, to promote the mission and goals of the University.

Responsibilities The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support for the department. This position also is responsible for the following,

    Answers the telephone, screens, and route calls or takes messageGreet and respond to in-person, phone, and email inquiries; assists faculty, staff, students and visitorsCompiles correspondence and reports as requestedAssists in department payrollProcesses procurement statementsPrepares and/or processes purchase ordersPerforms inventory and property management to ensure supply needs are metEstablishes and maintains department filing systemMaintains department schedule by maintain calendars for department personnelArranging inspections, meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travelManage incoming and outgoing correspondence; assist in office managementAssists supervisor with coordination of programs, activities, and eventsUtilizes Banner or the most current system to generate necessary reportsConduct research and prepare complex documents; organize files, handle information requestsPerforms other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
    High School Diploma or GED equivalentThree (3) years of experience in a related fieldAdvance skills in Microsoft Office Suite Excellent customer service Excellent written and oral skillsBachelor’s Degree is preferredFive (5) year of experience in a related field is preferred
