The Lau lab at BUMC is recruiting for an analyst to support various genomics and bioinformatics projects. Candidates should have training in bioinformatics analysis of deep-sequencing and gene expression data. Candidates will interface with molecular biologists in analyzing small RNA, RNA-Seq , ChIP-Seq, and other techniques from Illumina deep-sequencing libraries. This position also offers ample opportunity for a computationalist to gain practical wet-lab experience in the expanding realms of molecular biology. Candidates should have a degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Programming skills and experience with high-throughput genomic data are highly desirable. Excellent communications skills and the ability to work on a variety of projects are essential.
