Directs and manages various key educational, technological and support functions for Learning Resources and is an integral member of the College and campus management teams. This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College’s District Board of Trustees.

  • Supervises, multimedia services, campus network services and provides instructional design support
  • Recommends technology for use in the classroom and on a campus. Assists faculty with the design and production of multimedia products including: educational videos, learning objects, podcasts, audio files, and lecture capture in collaboration with academic departments
  • Participates in the development and implementation of College Policies, Procedures and Guidelines
  • Leads in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs to ensure program effectiveness and quality including grant development
  • Oversees hiring and selection, training, supervising and evaluation of staff
  • Ensures the development and implementation of all appropriate budgets
  • Keeps abreast of current trends and best practices in instructional and information technology
  • Manages digital assets including film, photos, podcasts and other electronic media for one campus
  • Manages the campus technology inventory and ensures that it is kept in working condition
  • Coordinates the management and maintenance of Campus Web Pages with District personnel
  • Assists the campus administration by addressing issues involved with the delivery of academic and student programs, technology development, and employee development
  • Oversees the resolution of issues and problems that may arise with faculty, staff and students.
  • Implements and evaluates adherence to criteria of accrediting agencies, including the Southern Association of College and Schools (SACS)

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and five (5) years demonstrated administrative/managerial experience
  • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
