The Referral Specialist is responsible for obtaining referrals and/or prioritization needed for scheduled tests, procedures, and surgeries. Other duties will include, but are not limited to keeping up to date information and documentation in EMR system, including request of records and scanning into system, patient care coordination, tracking authorizations pending with insurances, communication with patients around referrals, tests, and procedures, etc.
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.
Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger,grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or withoutreasonable accommodations.

- High school diploma or GED
- Six (6) months of clinical experience
- Valid Driver License
Leadership, communication, customer service, multi-tasking, and computerskills are necessary for this position. Knowledge of proper cashhandling/payment procedures is necessary.
- Medical Assistant experience
