(Contingent upon available funding): 0.00 - 0.00, Commensurate Work Schedule: Typically 5 days/week, 8 hours/day Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: This Postdoctoral Fellow position offers an exciting opportunity to join anintegrated and innovative academic research program focused on neuropharmacologyof opioid addiction and chronic pain. The successful candidate will participatein projects using multi-disciplinaryapproaches, combining molecular, cellular, behavioral, and epigenetictechniques to uncover novel therapeutic targets for pain and addiction. The candidate will also receivetraining in manuscript preparation, grant writing, and other aspects ofprofessional development.
Three years of institutional funding have beensecured for this position.
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp,feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or withoutreasonable accommodations.

- Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Neuroscience or related biomedicaldiscipline
- Experience in cell culture, immunoblotting, and animal (mouse)handling
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals are expected
- Experience in rodent behavioral experiments orimmunohistochemistry
- Preferred areas of expertise/interest include, but are not limited to neuroscience, pharmacology, and epigenetics
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are preferred to facilitate interactions with technicians, faculty, and students
