The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Georgetown University invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in Korean Studies for the 2021-2022 academic year. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position in Washington, DC for one year: August 1, 2021 to July 31, 2022.

The area of specialty is any area of pre-modern Korean culture. A PhD is required by the start date.

In addition to research responsibilities assigned by the Chair, the postdoctoral fellow will teach one undergraduate course (in fall 2021 or spring 2022), will offer a department-hosted public talk presenting their research, and will assist in the preparation of research grants and grant applications to support the development of Korean Studies in the department. The position will have access to Georgetown research resources. The position will also include access to departmental campus workspace (contingent on the University and College operating status in compliance with any DC health and/or government requirements).
