Job description

The Center for Molecular and Translational Medicine (CMTM) at Georgia State University is looking to hire a research technician II. More information on the center’s research is available in http://www.medicine.gsu.edu. This position will be filled with a person with animal experiment-related and cell culture-related research experience.

The scope of responsibility will include these specific duties, but is not limited to the following

  • Animal breeding
  • Cell culture and related experiments
  • Histopathology-related experiments including preparation of paraffin section and frozen section, immunohistochemistry staining, immunofluorescence staining
  • Perform other research activities including performing Western blotting, RT-PCR, and data analyses

Bachelor's degree and two years of research experience; or high school diploma or GED and six years of research experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
