Director of College Data and Analytics

Position Summary

The Director of College Data and Analytics (Data Resource Analyst II/S) will provide strategic leadership for the use of College student data in pursuit of inclusive excellence. This person will lead and supervise a small team and report to the Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs.

  • Serves as point person regarding the use of student data in program accreditation, approval, and continuous improvement efforts for the College’s undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programs. Coordinates production of data, and conducts analysis of data, for use in these processes.
  • Leads strategic initiatives in the use of student data across the College including overseeing the possible development, maintenance, and use of a relational database.
  • Collaborates with leaders across the College to identify shared and unique questions for college-level institutional research.
  • Designs, conducts, and supervises studies related to the College’s students and academic programs. Prepares written reports for the same.
  • Prepares written routine external reports (US News, Title II, SARA/ US Department of Education).
  • Engages in data cleaning, processing, and developing metadata.
  • Supervises a small team.
  • Interviews, hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates support staff; assists in developing budgets and identifying funding sources.
  • Leads a review of software currently used to track and assess students’ clinical educational experiences. Coordinates purchasing and implementation of such software.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

The job requires: knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing one or two years of post-bachelor degree work, such as a Master's in Educational Administration, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or related field; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in statistical methods or data management and analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
