Position Summary
  • Designing SharePoint solutions, site taxonomy, UX, and record storage
  • Building and implementing custom UI designs, applications, and related functionality for SharePoint with PowerShell, CSS, HTML, and JavaScript
  • Creating and modifying SharePoint site collections with multiple sites, unique navigational elements, custom content types and site columns, site pages, web part pages, workflows, REST APIs, external content types, and custom forms
  • Building SharePoint applications with InfoPath forms and/or SharePoint Designer workflows
  • Provide primary support for SharePoint users and manage the support ticket queue
  • With line management, coordinate the use of student workers to address the SharePoint project backlog and support tickets
  • Provide SharePoint technical guidance and instruction to student workers
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring SharePoint Student workers
  • Implementing document and record center repositories
  • Integration with third-party SharePoint modules
  • Documenting solutions with Microsoft Office
  • Superior attention to detail, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressure
  • Provide IIS/SharePoint troubleshooting (i.e. event and ULS logs)
  • Ability to customize branding and general look-n-feel
  • Applicability and use of content types
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
  • Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related information technology field
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience developing solutions with SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint Designer 2013 (or newer versions)
  • Current experience developing solutions with SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint Designer 2013 (or newer versions)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 2013 (or newer)
  • Knowledge of software lifecycle management in particular the agile methodology
  • Integration with Business Connectivity Services
  • Experience developing and managing APIs, especially REST APIs
  • Must be able to work with export controlled technologies.
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of CSS, ECMAScript, HTML, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Strong knowledge of Visual Studio 2019
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory and SharePoint permissions
  • Knowledge of software design patterns such as MVC, OOP, SOA, and data structures
  • Familiarity with source control integration
  • Some experience with SQL Server or other relational databases
  • Some experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP or Oracle)
