Job Summary Prof. Matt McDowell’s Group at Georgia Tech (https://mtmcdowell.gatech.edu) has an open position for a Postdoctoral Fellow to be focused on next-generation batteries. The successful candidate will lead a team of researchers in understanding and improving electrochemical behavior of metallic anodes in high-energy batteries. Prof. McDowell is jointly appointed in the G. W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering and the School of Materials Science and Engineering, and it is expected that the successful candidate will interact with a wide variety of researchers on campus.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D degree in Engineering field

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
    Intellectual independence and strong analytical skillsExperience with Li-ion battery chemistries and/or electrochemistry (not required but likely an advantage)Experience in materials synthesis and/or characterizationAbility to work within a team environment while leading a multi-faceted project
