JOB SUMMARY:

Clemson University's Dean of Engineering, Computing & Applied Sciences Department is looking for an Associate Director of Donor Relations to fulfill the following duties:

  • Manages strategic donor relations, stewardship and engagement for the College of Engineering, Computing & Applied Sciences, ensuring donors have superior giving experiences, communicating impact in compliance with donor intent.
  • Coordinate's donor stewardship and interactions with development staff.
  • Manages a student intern.
  • Other duties as assigned.


JOB DUTIES:

45% - Essential - Strategic Donor Stewardship: Develop creative and innovative impact actions and donor experiences in partnership with and support of Development Officers for College donors. Plans and implements stewardship efforts within the College, working with deans, business officers, faculty, and others. Regularly communicates with donors sharing expressions of gratitude and impact that aligns with donor intent. Work closely with the Central Donor Relations office to implement periodic donor communications and events/activities.

40% - Essential - Strategic Donor Engagement: Develop creative and innovative engagement touchpoints and events for donors and key alumni, working in partnership with the College Development Officers and College leadership. Work with the College promotional and marketing team to share philanthropic impact, recognize and feature donors throughout various communication channels.

15% - Essential - Internal Operations: Manage and tracks impact actions. Tracks and generates reports on donor gift information, including ensuring appropriate recording and use of gifts. Analyze data from gift reports to assist research in identifying prospects to grow the College donor pipeline. Update data and manage budget, provide support with pledge reminder and gift tracking. Works with College Business Office to audit spending usage of funds on an annual basis in compliance with donors philanthropic intent.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education Bachelor's Degree

Work Experience 1+ Years and experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material.

Work Experience 2+ Years
