Position Highlights:

The School of Government and Public Policy of the University of Arizona invites applications for a Research Data Support Specialist II position. The selected candidate will work with Dr. Elizabeth Baldwin on an NSF grant to study the governance of invasive buffelgrass. The School of Government & Public Policy (SGPP) was formed in 2009 by combining two highly ranked programs – political science and public administration and policy – bringing them under a single roof. Located in the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences, SGPP is one of the largest schools at the University of Arizona and is uniquely situated to serve as a new model for public affairs education by promoting high-caliber research, teaching, community outreach, and civic leadership. Duties & Responsibilities:

This position is funded by an NSF grant to study the governance of invasive buffelgrass.

  • The position involves analysis of archived documents from prior efforts to address invasive buffelgrass in southern Arizona.
  • This position will read documents, code themes in documents, help build a database, and contribute to the preparation of a case study that documents the history of efforts to address buffelgrass in the region.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology or Political Science
