This position will act as the Head Football Athletic Trainer and oversee all medical services for the Lowell- Stevens Kasser Sports Medicine Center. This position serves as head athletic trainer of football which encompasses supervision, scheduling, evaluation for 3 full time athletic trainers who are primarily assigned to football and up to 25 student workers. This position will also have responsibility to oversee maintenance and ordering supplies for the facility.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Managing medical services for the football program, included is the overall care and rehabilitation of football student-athletes
- Facilitating and coordinating the medical care given by the team physicians and specialty consultants
- Scheduling medical appointments; workout, practice, and competition coverage; team
travel;treatment plans; injury prevention and rehabilitation
- Coordinating and communicating with the head football coach and staff, including but not limited to director of strength and conditioning for football, Associate Athletic Director for Sport Performance, and Director of Athletic Medicine,
- Associate Director of Athletics, CATS Medical Services
- Responsible for the development of resident program and development of injury prevention program
- Oversight, implementation, and review of EAP (Emergency Action Plans) for Lowell- Stevens Kasser Sports Medicine Center; additionally, planning and review of on field pre-hospital emergency care of injured athletes
- Provide proper medical record keeping
- Supervise, schedule, and evaluate staff, this includes assigned athletic trainers and student workers.
- Facility oversight which includes maintaining inventory, upkeep of equipment, and documentation of medical equipment testing
- Additional duties as assigned

- Bachelor’s degree required
- Seven years of experience
- BOC Certification in Athletic Training
- Must be eligible for the State of Arizona Athletic Training License
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Master’s Degree
- Eight years of Division I Football experience
- Experience as Head Football Athletic Trainer
- Three years Supervisory experience
- Advanced continuing education.
- Experience with injury screening and prevention programs.
- Experience with soft tissue mobilization techniques.
- Experience with injury tracking systems/electronic medical records.
- American Red Cross CPR-AED/First Aid Instructor
