Position Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to plan, execute, record and analyze research experiments utilizing a combination of techniques in molecular, cellular biology and virology in a collaborative work environment that will promote the specialist’s independent research. The position is responsible for establishing primary keratinocyte cultures, generation of organotypic graft cultures, as well as the analysis of protein, RNA and DNA. Specialized skills will be cultivated, including immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry and confocal microscopy.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Candidate must be adept at tissue culture as well as standard molecular biology techniques, including PCR and gel analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years research experience, with a B.S. in Biology, Cell and Molecular biology, Virology or a related field
