Essential Job Duties:

The incumbent in this position will provide technical support to live online training events and the administrative and technical aspects required to plan, schedule, and carry out such events. They will also provide support to the on-demand training development team. This position is critical in the delivery of live online events and associated on-demand training. The incumbent will demonstrate strong interpersonal, written and oral communication, and technical skills.

Duties include the following:
Provide technical support to synchronous online training events hosted in Zoom including
supporting registration,
holding preparation meetings with presenters,
following protocol to ensure the Zoom setup is ready,
providing technical support before, during, and after the event, and
contributing to event quality assurance processes
Monitor and manage communication and support to learners through email, Moodle, and Zoom
Support courses developed in learning management systems (Moodle) by making minor regular adjustments (training will be provided)
Conduct quality assurance testing as needed
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience/Education:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Instructional Technology, Education or similar degree
Experience providing production/technical support for meetings or training events in Zoom or similar live online training delivery platform
Ability to multitask to provide support to presenters while also communicating with participants as needed
Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate well with presenters and participants in a compassionate and confident manner under stressful circumstances
Strong organizational and collaboration skills
Ability to follow established protocol and provide recommended updates to protocol.
Enjoys learning and demonstrates an ability to learn new software and processes quickly
Willingness to work in a team environment where employees support each other in their deliverables

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education:

Education: Master’s degree in Communication, Instructional Technology, Education or similar degree
Nine or more months of experience providing production/technical support for meetings or training events in Zoom
Experience setting up Zoom events including determining the best settings for the circumstances
Experience using each of the Zoom tools including breakout groups, whiteboards, polling, recording, monitoring chat and participant activity, and Zoom reporting
Experience supporting Moodle or other LMS by updating fields in an existing course
Knowledge of Qualtrics, Google Forms, and NC State’s Reporter registration systems
Ability to provide a stable home internet connection and willingness, if needed on occasion, to work on campus in a socially distanced environment should home internet not be stable for any reason.
