The Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education is dedicated to preparing highly qualified and effective professionals in the areas of public health, health science, health and physical education, and coaching. In addition, the department promotes the concepts of healthy living, physical fitness, and sport skill acquisition in the KSU academic community and in the community at large. The department offers a BS degree in Health and Physical Education (P-12), Integrated Health Science, and Public Health Education, and minors in Public Health and Coaching. The Department supports the University with an array of physical activity courses.
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions in the Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.
The Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education is creating a pool of applicants in anticipation of future openings for part-time faculty to teach coursework related to Public Health, Health Science, Wellness, and Physical Education.
Master's degree in Public Health, Health Science, or Physical Education or closely related field, or the foreign equivalent, is required for instructors. For physical activity courses, candidates with advanced coaching certifications will be considered. Earned doctorate in Public Health, Health Science, or Physical Education or closely related field, or the foreign equivalent, is required for professorial ranks.
