The Division of Vascular Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine, has an opening for a full-time Visiting Researcher position. 

This position supports the development and implementation of research in the Division of Vascular Surgery.  The Visiting Researcher will perform research-related duties, as needed, on numerous projects within the Division’s research portfolio including participating in publication review, writing peer-reviewed publications, reviewing and analyzing clinical database/patient EHR, assisting with clinical trials, and developing research protocols.  There will be no direct patient care or contact.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) has been established at $38,000 to $42,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

 

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

  • MD is required
  • Documented original research publications in peer-reviewed journals, including publications where the applicant is listed as first and/or last author.
  • Statistics experience
  • Prior research experience related to vascular surgery
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Strata and/or Redcap
  • Training in vascular surgical procedures
  • Demonstrated skills in problem solving and working collaboratively and effectively with other members of a research team
