The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Administration has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Clinical Business & Productivity Program Manager (Information Technology Program Manager) position. This posting is open to current University of Colorado Employees only.

Nature of Work:

The Clinical Business & Productivity Program Manager is responsible for managing the entire portfolio of clinical productivity reporting for approximately 1,000 faculty in alignment with the Department of Pediatrics clinical strategy.

  • Manages, develops, and implements technology infrastructure for the entire portfolio of clinical productivity reporting and clinical business needs for the Department. This includes, but is not limited to, RVU generation, clinical expectations, clinical profit and loss statements, revenue capture, and hospital operational and access metrics
  • Ensures alignment between reporting systems and the Department clinical strategy. This includes: Faculty Top of Scope, Clinical Outreach, Rewards& Recognition, Faculty Wellness & Care Coordination/Collaboration
  • Responsible for coordination of data reporting and merging of databases between University, CU Medicine and Children’s Hospital Colorado to provide comprehensive view of clinical productivity for the Department
  • Demonstrates advanced data management and analytical abilities, including maintaining internal databases to store clinical and quality data pulls to assist with ongoing quality analysis of clinical, operational and financial activities. Gather functional and technical requirements to design, build, test, deliver and manage data repositories, reporting, ETL, data warehouse, registry or data collection forms, and dashboarding functionsPresent data-related progress updates and research findings to internal and external stakeholders, project teams, departments, and leadership. Create data products, data visualizations and presentationsResearch and facilitate adoption of new tools and methodologies in continuous process improvement.Develop tools and training materials for use by the management team or others.
  • Supports data reporting needs for Children’s Hospital Colorado Springs and Network of Care sites

    Salary and Benefits:

    The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at  $70,178 - $105,000.

    The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

    The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

    This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in computer science or related field
  • At least 7 years of technology experience in an academic setting
  • Required: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

    Conditions of Employment:

    • Must be willing and able to successfully pass a national criminal background check

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in computer science or related field
  • 5+ years of technology experience in a pediatric academic setting
  • 2+ years of technology experience supporting academic practice plan revenue analyses
  • Required Competencies: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

      High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint is requiredDatabase management / programming experience requiredBasic statistical knowledge requiredMust be organized and able to work independently to manage and meet deadlinesAbility to build relationships and gain alignment for clinical support and be able to articulate questions to receive an appropriate level of support from superiors and peers.Must be able to multi-task and work with frequent interruptions.Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrable skills in diplomacy, tact and working with sensitive and confidential information are required.Professional appearance and demeanor is essential.Comfortable building relationships and working directly with clinical providers, staff and nurses. Ability to interact with all members of the leadership team, providers, clinical and administrative staff in a professional and courteous manner.
