Department of Psychiatry has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Psychiatry Faculty Affairs Manager position.  This is an upper level, multifaceted manager position, reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration.

The Department of Psychiatry is one of the largest units in the UCD-SOM and is comprised of 5 Divisions.  The Department currently has approximately 475 paid appointments.  In addition, the department has 371 clinical faculty members, 125 regular faculty from Affiliated Hospitals (i.e., Denver Health, National Jewish, VA), and 94 faculty with secondary/adjoint appointments in Psychiatry. The University of Colorado School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry has just welcomed their new Department Chair, C. Neill Epperson, MD and is in the process of growing the Department of Psychiatry with new programs and expanding existing programs.

Nature of the work:

This is an upper level, multifaceted management position, reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration. The Faculty Affairs Manager is responsible for overseeing the faculty activity for the department which includes credentialing and onboarding of new faculty, faculty promotion activities including promotion management and dossier consultation, managing all volunteer and affiliate faculty, assisting with faculty onboarding, management of Salesforce and OnBase systems and manage support staff who help faculty with scheduling, travel, procurement and faculty funds.  The position will be the direct supervisor for one administrative assistant position.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • First point of contact with the School of Medicine Faculty Affairs Office
  • Manage the credentialing process for all new Dept of Psychiatry providers and main point of contact with affiliate institutions
  • Aid in faculty onboarding process including space assignments, phone assignments and billing reconciliations
  • Manage volunteer faculty appointments including adjunct
  • Manage and maintain site of practice agreements
  • Manage Promotion process and work with Operations Specialist to build systems in smartsheet to track progress
  • Dossier consultation expert
  • Manage lease agreements
  • Manage appointment database and OnBase employee file database
  • Manage Support staff who help faculty with scheduling, travel, procurement, etc.
  • Work with Vice Chair of Faculty Affairs on mentor process development and execution.
  • CU Medicine salesforce maintenance
  • Manage and maintain faculty conflict of interest
Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at  $51,677 - $65,733

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • Four years of professional level experience.
Substitution: A combination of education and related professional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Experience in CU Systems including Jira, HCM, OnBase and PRiSM
  • Knowledge of CU HR and Finance policies and procedures
