Job Details

Drew University Theological School is seeking applications for a renewable contract teaching position in any aspect of Theological Studies, with focus and experience in Latin American/Latinx communities and ministries, beginning in the 2021-2022 academic year. Appointment will be as Assistant Teaching Professor in a subject area appropriate to the candidate’s field.The teaching load for this position is equivalent to five courses distributed over the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

We seek an engaging scholar-teacher with a demonstrated ability and commitment to mentoring masters-level students pursuing ministerial vocations in congregations, social advocacy, and chaplaincy settings.

Required Education and Experience:

● A successful candidate will have experience in working with diverse student populations as well as disciplinary and interdisciplinary teaching.

● A successful candidate will have knowledge of and experience with Latin American and/or Latinx religious communities in the United States.

● Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD or ThD in hand. Applicants with DMin degrees who have significant ministerial and teaching experience will also be considered.
