Responsible for the management, administration, and planning of the Curriculum/ Space & Scheduling section in the Office of the University Registrar. This position acts as primary contact for Curriculum/ Space & Scheduling and serves as the liaison between the Office of the University Registrar and the University community.
Position is responsible for the management and administrative direction for curriculum, class scheduling, and associated processes related to space management, scheduling, and enrollment. Oversees scheduling of general-purpose classrooms and lecture halls in accordance with established regulations and/or best practices for room utilization. Position is responsible for understanding rules that govern nonacademic use of academic space and booking such events in predetermined buildings/rooms set aside for that purpose, the interaction of catalog entries on scheduling and registration activities. Position manages the matrix of preassigned space and analyzes utilization rates to maximize efficiency. Makes recommendations when changes to space allocation are necessary. Position manages the semester-to-semester allocation of general-purpose space across colleges and departments.

Responsible for the development, direction, documentation, and review of all policies and procedures related to the configuration and maintenance of the myFSU Student Central schedule of classes/combined sections and Ad Astra, and for the explanation and coordination of such policies and procedures to various academic/administrative units, University-wide. Develops and maintains queries for the reporting of class scheduling and room utilization data within these areas to academic/administrative units throughout the University (e.g., Institutional Research, Office of Distance Learning, Office of the Provost, Student Business Services, Classroom Support, etc.)

Responsible for the development, direction, and review of all policies and procedures pertaining to the configuration and maintenance of the myFSU Student Central course catalog (including requisite checking), the primary database for all University curriculum. Responsible for the interpretation of policies and procedures concerning the approval of new curriculum and the explanation and coordination of such procedures to various academic/administrative units, University-wide. Coordinates with the university community and the University Curriculum Committees to analyze current policies and determine appropriate changes. Manages staff responsible for catalog updates.

Serves as a backup to the Associate Registrar as representative of the Registrar's Office at University functions and meetings and as functional liaison between the Registrar's Office and the ERP-CSBA (Student Application Services) team for technical issues related to Student Central Curriculum Management functionality and Ad Astra.


A Bachelor's degree and four years of experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years). Experience should be relevant and related to the responsibilities of the job.

Experience interpreting and applying policies and procedures in a higher education environment and experience with course scheduling.

Ability to function independently, prioritize responsibilities and make sound decisions.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of university employees is required.

A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and 4 years of experience related to the responsibilities of the job are preferred. We seek detail-oriented candidates who possess the ability to review, analyze, formulate, and organize data and information to support complex decision-making. Four years of experience working with University policies and procedures related to Registrar functions including allocating space, building courses in OMNI, and cataloging courses. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
