Resource Financial Analyst Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 23477533 Full Time 8AM - 5PM $50,000 - $86,450 Position Information Under general supervision from the Business Operations Manager, the incumbent will develop financial models, reports and analysis to help improve and/or sustain data integrity and the overall accuracy of financials presented to manages and/or unit heads. They will be a key member of the Business Operations analytics team who will develop/update standard reporting templates, and will also be responsible for independently creating new basic financial reports, as well as for managing the ledger reconciliation process for several units, while ensuring compliance with UCR and general fund accounting principles. Works on projects of a diverse scope where analysis of financial data requires evaluation of factors from various enterprises. Documents and develops processes for reconciliation of a variety of clinical financial operations and financial services. Educates SOM staff, faculty and affiliated parties on SOM financial and business policies, procedures and business strategies.Applicants will be required to submit a work sample as part of the selection process. Minimum Requirements Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
Ability to gather reasonably retrievable information, organizes, and performs basic financial analysis assignments.
Ability to function as a member of a team.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills at all levels within the unit; service orientation; critical thinking; attention to detail; ability to multi-task in a high volume environment, organizational skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner both in writing and verbally.
Some knowledge of finance policies, practices and systems.
Demonstrated ability to use spreadsheet and database software for moderately complex financial analysis, fiscal management and financial reports.
Preferred Qualifications Experience providing complex financial analysis in a medical center or school of medicine.
Knowledge of UCR financial systems and policies and procedures.
