Summary of Duties:
Under general supervision, perform custodial tasks/duties to maintain cleanliness and care of area assigned. Lead (i.e. instruct/train/assist) assigned Custodians to meet departmental cleaning standards. Assist Supervisor as needed. Position may interview and recommend selection of applicants, conduct training, assign and schedule work, act upon leave requests, provide input on annual performance evaluations and recommend corrective or disciplinary action.
Physical ability to do required work and one year experience in housekeeping, janitorial, general or building maintenance, or custodial work OR one year experience as a Lead; OR equivalent education/experience.
18 years of age or older.
Minimum of 6 months experience leading or directing the work of others.
Experience with Housing and Dining Services.
One year of custodial experience in an educational or commercial setting.
