Advertised Job Summary:

Serve as the Director of Human Resources for the Arnold School of Public Health by planning, coordinating and managing all human resources activities for the college. Act as a resource for all administrators and human resources contacts on best practices and compliance with applicable HR laws, regulations, policies and practices. Represent the school as the primary liaison with the University’s Division of Human Resources.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):

Master’s degree and 3 years or bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience in business, public administration or administrative services.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree and 3 years or bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience in HR business, HR public administration or administrative services HR.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Must be familiar with SC Policies and Procedures. Knowledge of federal and state laws, policies, procedures, rules and regulations related to human resources. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and operate successfully in an independent role as well as in a team. The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively manage data from various sources and systems.
