Job Summary:The Enrollment Counselor for Career and Technical Education (CTE) is responsible for providing all facets of Enrollment Services to students from recruitment through degree completion. S/he works with individuals of all ages in helping them understand their opportunities and pathways to graduation.
As a member of the Enrollment Services team, the Enrollment Counselor is an upbeat and positive person as s/he serves as the face of a continually growing and dynamic organization. S/he provides quality customer service to members of the college community. This is a rewarding job that is located in Sheridan with opportunities to network throughout the region.
Reports To:Director of Advising Services
Education/Qualifications:• Associates degree, preferably in a CTE related field
• Valid Driver’s License
1) Public relations principles
2) Basic higher education registration and admissions principles, practices, and processes
3) Deep knowledge of all programs at Sheridan College
1) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
2) Able to receive directed work and meet deadlines
3) Computer skills, including detailed-oriented data input and effective and professional use of social media
4) Able to interact verbally and in writing with co-workers, supervisor, other college employees, and the general public in order to exchange or convey information and ideas
• Extensive travel required, must have reliable transportation
• Some evenings and weekends required
• Professional attire required
Sheridan College is located in historic Sheridan, WY at the foot of the beautiful Big Horn Mountains, minutes away from a variety of outdoor recreational activities. Gillette College is located in Gillette, WY, the county seat of Campbell County. Located midway between the Big Horn Mountains to the West and the Black Hills of South Dakota to the east. Responsibility/Duty:Coordinate and conduct on-campus and off-campus recruitment, and marketing activities for traditional and non-traditional prospective students, including school visits, college fairs, campus tours and special programs.

Responsibility/Duty:Provide guidance and direction to prospective students and their families regarding the college admissions process. Provide in-depth enrollment counseling for new students.

Responsibility/Duty:Serve as academic advisor to students in CTE programs (Welding, Diesel, Machining, Construction). Assist students in preparing their education plans and registration. Participate in CTE department functions and activities.
