The Georgia Tech Career Center is a part of the Georgia Tech Office of Undergraduate Education. The Career Center helps students prepare for their future through career exploration, internships, career advising, career fairs, career education, and more.

The Career Center includes the cooperative education (Co-op) and internship programs in which students can participate while attending Georgia Tech, and a Career Education team provides resources students need to support their searches for full-time employment after graduation, such as help with the exploration, selection, and pursuit of meaningful careers; career counseling; resume writing interview tips, and more.

Salary range: $55,000 - $62,000, with full benefits. Internal GT employees are bound to the GT./USG compensation policy.

Job Summary  

Provide administrative, operational, and transactional support for the co-op and internship programs, and oversee the student employees who will support these areas. Assist with improving the impact, effectiveness, and efficiency of the office by supporting the needs of the career education and the employer connection teams. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Students, Faculty, Alumni and Employer Representatives. This position will typically advise and counsel: Students, Faculty, and Employer Representatives. This will position supervise: N/A

Responsibilities  

Job Duty 1 -
Manage and coordinate the administration of co-op, internships, experiential learning, and other relevant academic experiences overseen by the office.

Job Duty 2 -
Develop processes, policies, and procedures to increase the efficiency of program administration and improve the customer service experience for students and employers.

Job Duty 3 -
Leverage technology to track and assess co-op, internships, experiential learning, and other relevant academic experiences.

Job Duty 4 -
Maintain and analyze relevant data, tracking trends and providing insights for student and employer experiences.

Job Duty 5 -
Serve on Working Groups, engage office staff and campus constituents in the administration, improvement, and streamlining of co-op and experiential learning activities.

Job Duty 6 -
Provide support to the Director of Employer Connections to assist in managing relationships with employers offering co-op, internships, and experiential learning opportunities.

Job Duty 7 -
Support relevant activities of the Career Education and Employer Connections teams and other duties as assigned for the career center.

Job Duty 8 -
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications  

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Four to five years job related experience

Preferred Qualifications  

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a higher education setting. Experience supervising and directing the work of others.

Experience with academic technologies and management systems (e.g. Canvas, Banner, Career Center Management System, etc.)

Experience working with cooperative education, internships, and experiential education programs


Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's Degree Business, Marketing, or related field

Preferred Experience
Five to seven years job related experience

Knowledge of course registration processes
Strong skills in planning, problem-solving and customer service.
Excellent organization and communication skills.
Experience with project management and the ability to initiate, plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work independently, or with minimal supervision.
Ability to collect and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data using various applicable software.
Strong organizational skills, including prioritization and time management
Demonstrated ability to handle stressful, delicate matters in a professional, discreet, and mature way
Ability to handle a high volume of registration processes and student inquiries during peak registration times
