Position Information: DescriptionThe purpose of this position is to assist other cooks with the preparation for and production of products required for each of the different concept areas.

To coordinate with the Franchise Manager to ensure that all cooking areas are clean and organized to ensure that customers receive the highest quality food in the friendliest atmosphere that we can create

To oversee that recipes are followed and minimize duplication of effort of cooks as well as student employees

Duties & Responsibilities
    Completes all prep work needed in back of house for use in concept areas Uses the following equipment: grills, meat slicers, food chopper, steam equipment, fryers, ovens, calculator and scalesReads, follows and comprehends recipes so they are prepared accuratelyPrepares food to meet all meal deadlines and maintains the highest quality and freshness possible using progressive cooking techniquesProduces food for Franchise areas following all Franchise requirements and guidelinesAttends all training sessions required of production staff to meet requirements of franchise agreementsDirects assistant cooks, part time and student employees as assignedOther duties as assignedPrepares all products according to safety and sanitation guidelinesTakes temperature audits as requiredEnsure that counter is clean and organizedProperly stores all food productsSweep and mop all concepts and front service areasEnsure that food is rotated in the coolers and freezers according to FIFOFollow weekly and monthly cleaning lists to ensure that kitchen is clean and efficientWork with student staff to ensure that prep is done properly, and cleanup is followed through completelyWork with the preparation and disposal of fish, poultry, beef, lamb, pork and other meat products Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies which includes removal of all jewelry and piercings (plain wedding band is permissible) and wearing hair and beard restraintsAssists customers with Special RequestsWork in service areas as assigned Able to answer customer questions about products

Minimum Requirements
    High School Diploma or GEDOne-year experience in restaurant/snack bar/food service environmentExperience with food production and equipment used in the food service businessCustomer service experienceSuccessful completion of Criminal History Records Check

Work Schedule/Start Date

Normal work schedule 11:30am -9:00pm with required weekends
