Organizational Unit Overview:

It is the mission of the Department of Pediatrics, East Caroline University Brody School of Medicine, to provide exemplary medical education/training of physicians in pediatric medicine at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, it is the mission of the department to provide model comprehensive primary and consultative subspecialty care to children of Eastern North Carolina to advance scientific knowledge through basic and clinical research and to provide continuing medical education opportunities for physicians in the region.

Job Duties :

This position acts as an administrative support for research activities in the Department of Pediatrics. Duties to include, but not limited to, review research expenses and revenue, complete research invoicing where applicable, complete research close out activities, coordinating travel arrangements for research staff, prepare requisition requests in PORT and ensure all purchase orders are received, process and reconcile procard transactions, process requests for research participant payments, complete and submit direct payment forms and journal vouchers, process payable invoices, use Banner to reconcile all research expenses and receipts, process requests and coordinate surplus of research items and maintaining files relative to budgets, grants, confidential files for faculty and staff.

Minimum Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

License or Certification required by statute or regulation:
