Division of Student Affairs - Campus RecreationJob Description Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation of a comprehensive intramural sports program. Establish intramural sports program learning outcomes and objectivesResponsible for the forecasting and monitoring of income and expense budgets for Recreational Sports Supervise the intramurals team; recruiting, interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, and supervising student staffAssist in reviewing and updating the Intramural handbook’s annually for program and process improvement.Establish and implement program area-specific risk management practices, policies, and procedures.Assisting with the development of program policies and procedures and conducting risk management checks and audits with each group.Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive environment in all programs and facilities.Compile semester and annual statistical program data for department reports.Process semimonthly payroll for Rec Sports in accordance with department and University policy and procedures.Continuously assess programs, policies, and processes to improve overall program qualityExpected to cultivate and develop relationships with numerous campus constituents to help advance the mission of the university and division. Coordinate marketing efforts to enhance awareness of Rec Sports for individuals on and off campus. Serve on departmental, divisional, and institutional committees and work groups as assigned.Other duties as assigned.
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration or Recreation and Sport Management Experience supervising a team Experience with diverse recreational sport offerings and management of leaguesEngagement with NIRSA to ensure best practices and innovative programming
