Division of Student Affairs - Campus RecreationJob Description Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing and managing the reservations and scheduling of all Campus Recreation facilities.Assist in Service Center operations including managing and equipment check out, locker room maintenance, and lost and found processes Oversee event management and setup for events taking place at Campus Recreation facilities.Assist with developing and enforcing policies and procedures for all Campus Rec facilities (space priorities, access, rules, etc.)Assist in overseeing Membership Services within the departmentRecruit, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise the operations student staff in ways that help our students grow, progress, or increase developmental capabilities.Be knowledgeable and train student staff in program area-specific risk management practices, policies, and procedures.Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive environment in all programs and facilitiesResponsible for forecasting expense budgets and monitoring income as it relates to program area.Process semimonthly payroll in accordance with department and University policy and procedures.Assist with compiling semester and annual statistical program data for department reports.Expected to cultivate and develop relationships with numerous campus constituents to help advance the mission of the university and division. Serve on departmental, divisional, and institutional committees and work groups as assigned.
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration or Recreation and Sport Management Experience in facility operations and event managementKnowledge of Fusion InnoSoft and Connect2 software systemsExperience supervising a team Must have a strong understanding of customer service and building relationships
$19.23 - $22.00/hourShift Work schedule will primarily be Monday – Friday; 8am – 5pm but will include some nights and weekend work requirements.Application Deadline
