The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Division of Sleep Medicine, the laboratory of Dr. Emmanuel Mignot seeks a Life Science Research Professional I to join a sleep/narcolepsy research lab dedicated to understanding sleep and neuroimmune disorders such as narcolepsy, paraneoplastic syndromes, Parkinson and Kleine Levin Syndrome. Our laboratory will combine basic molecular research with translational and clinical research.
The LSRP1 will be expected to perform independently after consultation with the supervisor and will design and troubleshoot research techniques. S/he will be responsible for a variety of research tasks, including preparation of common solutions and reagents, maintaining cell culture, performing molecular cloning, transfection, and analyzing and summarizing data.
The LSRP1 will be responsible for general management and maintenance of the lab, ordering supplies, animals, and equipment, while maintaining compliance with government and University health and safety policies and regulations.
Computer experience with spreadsheets, word processing, and basic statistics is highly recommended.
