Job Summary
The Graphic Designer serves as the lead graphic designer for the division and functions in a creative capacity while developing branding for programs, conferences, and events. The Graphic Designer works in a fast-paced, customer-focused, results-driven environment. This position may work from the Statesboro or Savannah campus.

Responsibilities
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Work with marketing team and others in the division to ensure the success of all programs and conferences
  • Stay up to date with the latest graphic design and illustration techniques
  • Adhere to the university's social media and marketing guidelines
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission and strategic initiatives of the University and the Division
  • Create graphics/illustrations, layouts, and marketing deliverables such as catalogs, brochures/programs, advertisements, signage, and digital components
  • Manage all concepts regarding design, layout, size, and arrangement of illustrative material, copy, and company mandatories (logos, type-faces, colors)
  • Develop branding for the division, conferences, and programs while keeping in mind the mission and goals of the university and division
  • Work with the marketing team to ensure content/graphics/design are informative and appealing
  • Work directly with marketing team and division personnel to provide recommendations for design and graphics and present options for clients
  • Assist with creating, updating, and managing websites as well as social media posts
  • Contribute to the creation of project plans and sets timelines and supports marketing goals as it pertains to web updates, graphics, and written collateral
  • Work with marketing team to design and implement marketing plans for each program

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Required Experience
  • One (1) year of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design

Preferred Experience
  • Two (2) years of experience in Graphic Design

Proposed Salary
$17.55 per hour

  • Advanced knowledge and skills using graphic design/illustration software, such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, Photoshop, etc.

  • Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for specific position
  • Demonstrate appropriate organizational skills as required for specific position

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience with social media marketing and website management preferred
  • WordPress experience preferred
