Position Summary:

This position will coordinate all aspects of program delivery in the Innovation Hub and report to the Director of Programming for the Innovation District. This role has substantial autonomy, responsibility and visibility and is a key component in delivering a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The incumbent will ensure an inclusive, welcoming, enthusiastic environment exists in the Innovation Hub and that successes are celebrated as well as instruction and coaching being organized. Although the facility is primarily aimed at faculty, there will be substantial need to interface with students, staff, community and industry.

This position is specifically charged with the development of the experiential learning aspects of entrepreneurship and will expand that aspect of the programming in conjunction with the Office of Experiential Learning.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Working with the Director of Innovation District Programming, develop programming to increase activities in the innovation hub, leading to the development of a supportive entrepreneurial community. Independently manage and execute these programs and events effectively, working with all stakeholders to increase attendance and success.

Develop an experiential learning program that allows students, staff and community to collaborate on entrepreneurial activities and experiences. Ensure all experiential learning opportunities gain approval in conjunction with the Office of Experiential learning.

Supervise all administrative and program support staff. Ensure that all administrative and reporting functions and responsibilities are met and confirmed to the Director. Manage recruitment, selection and activities of all administrative staff, interns and student workers.

Ensure that the scheduling of activities in the Innovation Hub is coordinated with all users of the building and that the building is prepared and functions appropriately for all events and activities. This includes liaison with all service providers to the building. Maintain a calendar of events and coordinate all reservation activities.

Participate in presentations to varying audiences about the purpose and scope of the activities in the Innovation District generally, and the Hub in particular. Coordinate with various marketing channels (web, press, newsletters, social media) to ensure adequate publicity and enthusiasm for the Hub programming occurs.
