As a senior leader within Facilities Department, you report to the Chief Facilities Officer.
Job duties and responsibilities include:
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.KSA's/Required Qualifications:
•Ability to plan, schedule, supervise, and evaluate work and make decisive decisions are critical.
•Excellent communication skills with upper & lower management including Commonwealth of VA leadership.
•Knowledge of Physical Plant operations and maintenance.
•Computer proficiency: data entry skills and ability to develop and interpret reports in text and spreadsheet format.
•General knowledge of building and grounds trades.
•Ability to monitor and analyze budgets and expenditures.
•Ability to create systems, procedures, and standards.
•Extensive experience in facilities management.
•Extensive experience supervising facilities personnel.
•Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of experience, training, and education.
•Facilities Management related Certification
•Experience in facilities management in higher education
•Experience with energy management systems.
•Experience with VCCS, BCOM, and Commonwealth of Virginia requirements
•Experience with energy management systems and energy conservation
