Georgia State University is a Division I institution, member of the Sun Belt Conference..  On a campus without boundaries, the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics fosters a Culture of Success through Academic Achievement, Competitive Greatness, Ethical Behavior, Social Responsibility, and Community Engagement that educates and transforms a diverse group of talented student-athletes into future leaders.The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking two skilled and versatile Assistant Softball Coaches who will be provide support to the Head Coach in all aspects of academic success, coaching, strength and conditioning, recruiting, planning of practice, organization of team meetings and film study, scheduling and trip management.  The scope of responsibility will include these essential duties but is not limited to the following,

  • Assist in the practice set up and break-down; assist with equipment functionality and inventory control
  • Assist with budget monitoring
  • On-Field coaching and player development
  • Responsible for management and coaching of all pitchers in the program
  • Work with campus community and the Athletic Department staff in the successful recruitment and registration process of student-athletes who are members of the Softball team
  • Complies fully with NCAA, Sun Belt and GSU policies
  • Perform other professional duties as assigned by Head Coach
 



Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience. Knowledge of NCAA policies and procedures is required.
