The University of Virginia School of Law, Office of Admissions, is seeking candidates to serve as part-time, seasonal admissions file readers. These part-time, seasonal positions focus on the holistic review of first-year applications for admission to the Law School.
Admissions file readers assist the assistant dean for admissions and the directors of admission in analyzing the qualifications of prospective students by submitting evaluations and recommendations through an electronic file management system. Candidates must have access to high-speed internet.
Readers are expected to communicate regularly with the Admissions Office via telephone and email, primarily with the chief admissions officer and the directors of admissions. The duration of the assignment is for the 2021-2022 admissions cycle: September 2021 through April 2022.
The position's compensation is $25.00 per hour with an average of 30 hours per week needed. Work may be performed remotely.

Education: A master's or terminal degree required. A Juris Doctor is preferred.

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
