The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) opportunity supports active research participation from undergraduates (rising sophomores to rising seniors). We are searching for someone to perform undergraduate research in the area of polymers and chemical engineering.
Students will participate in mentored discovery with a faculty member while developing critical skills, awareness, and confidence necessary to advance in academics and research in the future. This opportunity is for someone who is pursuing a chemical engineering degree from outside NC State University.
Pursuing a Chemical Engineering DegreeDepartment Required Skills:
They also need experience with nuclear magnetic resonance, Fourier transform IR-spectroscopy, and mass spectroscopy.Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education:
They need to have courses in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, computational tools for chemical engineering, physical chemistry, biochemistry and molecular biology, organic chemistry I and II.Required License or Certification:
