Position Description:
The position of Monitoring and Evaluation Data Analyst (MEDA) is part of the UCLA team working on the State's California Connected Virtual Training Academy (VTA). The VTA was created by the State in partnership with UCLA and UCSF to develop workforce capacity throughout the state to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, the VTA: 1) delivers high quality virtual training to develop foundational skills for COVID-19 response; 2) provides continuing education and workforce support in the execution of COVID-19 response efforts; and 3) supports local health jurisdictions, school settings and other settings through the provision of technical assistance.

The MEDA will be responsible for ensuring data quality (assessing data completeness, cleaning, verification, reliability and validity of study variables, and identifying and addressing data gaps and missing data), preparing data for analysis, and conducting statistical analysis in support of VTA program monitoring and evaluation.

The MEDA will support dissemination of VTA data, including execution of data visualizations and reports to communicate VTA outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences, and drafting of scientific manuscripts for publication.
