Position Description:
Center X is a community of educators, in the School of Education and Information Studies, working to transform schooling to create a more just, equitable, and humane society. Under the direction of the Director of Business Administration and the Senior Financial Manager, this position serves as the Center X Fund Manager for Sales & Service agreements and Contracts & Grants, which has an average total expenditure of $12 million and includes federal, state, and private contract/grant funding sources. Primary responsibilities include financial analysis, compliance monitoring and accounting of $12 million of the Center's Sales & Service and Contract & Grant funding sources. Pre-Award and post-award administration of individual faculty proposals or contract & grants; proactively promote compliance with Federal regulations, University policy, and School guidelines. Produce monthly financial reports to deliver coherent and concise financial data to project directors, faculty, Director of Business Administration, 5 subject matter projects, the Northeast Region Project, various research projects, 2 academic programs, and other professional development projects. Accurately prepare and submit various research and public service proposals, manage all post-award functions, and closeout awards when necessary. Work in coordination with the Senior Financial Manager in payroll and personnel activities related to Contracts & Grants. Additionally, interpersonal skills are essential to establish and maintain a dynamic and effective working relationship with faculty, staff, students and other campus units. Perform other duties as assigned.

In 15 of the 16 medical specialty areas examined, UCLA Medical Center ranked in the top 20.
