Position Description:
The Project Specialist will provide administrative, financial, and program-related support to the faculty and staff of the Masters of Public Health for Health Professionals Program and UCLA Public Health Scholars Training Program. Working with each of the programs' assistant directors, the incumbent will manage day-to-day activities, facilitate recruitment, and collaborate in marketing efforts for the both programs.

The project specialist will help oversee the Masters of Public Health for Health Professionals P and UCLA Public Health Scholars admissions process and will be responsible for coordination of all classes, workshops, meetings, and special events.

The incumbent will process orders, invoices, reimbursements, and transfers of funds, and work with fund managers to create financial reports. The project specialist will also be responsible for planning the logistics of both program's social and professional development events.

Under the supervision of the assistant directors', the incumbent will develop a wide array of marketing, promotional, informational, and communications materials for the MPHHP and UCLA Public Health Scholars programs, including but not limited to brochures, flyers, postcards, surveys, and web pages. Additionally, the incumbent will participate in developing marketing strategies to recruit UCLA graduate students to the MPHHP program, including direct outreach to public health organizations throughout the country.

Oversee and facilitate the recruitment and admissions processes. Coordinate all meetings and special events. Provide assistance to applicants, enrolled students and alumni regarding all aspects of the programs. Provide counseling to prospective students and ongoing counseling to currently enrolled students. Advise applicants, students, staff, and faculty regarding the program's policies and progress. Manage day-to-day program budget.
