Program Associate, Center for Innovation in Global Health - Georgetown University Law Center

The Center for Innovation in Global Health Program Associate will work with CIGH leadership to develop and execute operational, business development and project-specific strategies, working across Georgetown Medical and Law campuses. The program associate will promote efficiency and productivity on the team by providing leadership and support in process development and improvement, supporting project management of specific projects and improving the coordination of CIGH work streams by developing a cohesive rhythm of business for the center across projects.

Project Management and Support

  • Develop streamlined operational and grant management processes for the Center for Innovation in Global Health (CIGH), working across Georgetown University's Medical and Law Centers and coordinating with CIGH manager of finance and operations. Focus will include operational process analysis and execution, business development, supporting coordination and dissemination of programmatic work
  • Support strategic and operational aspects of CIGH projects and initiatives, including support to annual operations, initiative-specific work planning or communications planning, ongoing pipeline and portfolio development and management, and coordination of project work streams across the center
  • Provide project management and problem-solving support to CIGH leadership for internal operations and project specific initiatives, including providing administrative and communications support for work stream convening's, meetings, and reporting

Communication and Collaboration
  • Communicate and execute implementation of new operational processes. Serve as CIGH representative GUMC or GULC/O'Neill staff and operational meetings
  • Support CIGH communications by coordinating with the team and the Communications Director to disseminate CIGH work products, including copy editing of manuscripts and other generated materials, leading manuscript submission processes, updating CIGH contact lists and communications calendar, and identifying new opportunities for dissemination of work products, especially among those who can influence the development or implementation of public health programs, measurement and policies

Research and Writing
  • Research and scope Georgetown processes, procedures and guidelines to develop and assess options for CIGH operations.

Work Interactions

The Center for Innovation in Global Health Program Associate will support the Program Directors, under supervision of the O'Neill Institute Executive Director.

  • Successful candidates will have a B.A. or B.S. with three to five years of project management, business consulting, or operations experience.
  • Candidates will have strong communication skills and excellent organizational skills and proactive work style.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in ambiguity, self-starter who does not require directives and a team player who enjoys collaborating. professionalism is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have an interest in Law, Policy or Global Health and passionate about improving lives and livelihood around the world.
