Drew University is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics for 9 months (AY21-22), beginning in late August 2021. Acceptance of applications ends on August 15, 2021.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a 1-year algebra-based introductory physics sequence and associated labs.

  • Set up and troubleshoot introductory physics lab equipment (such as air tracks, photogates, and data collection interfaces) along with other faculty.

  • Help with and participate in departmental activities.

  • Research is not expected, but welcome if the candidate wishes.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Ph.D. in physics or a closely related field.

  • Genuine interest in undergraduate physics education.

  • Previous teaching experience (e.g., TA).
