Scholarship Center Coordinator and
Transfer Student Learning Community Advisor
The Goal of the Scholarship Center is to create a process whereby students at Livingstone College can graduate debt free. The Coordinator will assist in the development of digital scholarship portfolios, manage a scholarship application process, and maintain a library of open scholarships for new freshmen and students with outstanding balances. The Coordinator will also encourage submission of scholarships by scholars with GPA’s 2.5 and above. The Coordinator also serves as Learning Community Advisor for transfer students through completion of the General Education Curriculum, transferring them into their major, and connecting them to resources needed to survive and thrive at Livingstone College.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop digital student scholarship portfolios, manage a scholarship application process and maintain a library of open scholarships. Recruit applicants, track the weekly submission of scholarships by new freshmen and students with outstanding balances.Require consistent submission of scholarships by all scholars with GPA’s above 2.5. Serve as Learning Community Advisor for transfer students; assure they complete the GenEdu Curriculum, connect them to resources needed to survive and thrive at Livingstone College and transition into their major.Participate in fund development and grant writing.Perform other duties as assigned.
What you will need to be successful!
- Required: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred; experience working with college age students.Proficient with a learning platform such as Blackboard.Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, especially Word, Excel & PowerPoint.Commitment to working with under-prepared college students.Participation in service activities to college and profession.Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
