The Director of Development is a relationally skilled and a self-motivated individual who has the professional and personal competencies to manage The Livingstone College Advancement Function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading, and managing the development function which is grounded in the college’s mission, vision, and values while executing a comprehensive development plan.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The results you will deliver each day that matter most!
  • Leading and managing the development function
  • Executing a comprehensive development plan
  • Developing various constituency groups in the context of capital campaign
  • Overseeing strategic relationships with key stakeholders that result in developing streams of revenue that support multiple institutional priorities
  • Implement a multi-level and strategic fundraising plan that will include major donors, corporations and businesses, foundations and grants, endowments, special events, and social media efforts
  • Other duties as assigned
Education/ Experience

What you will need to be successful!
  • Masters Degree Preferred
  • 7-10 years of direct or related development experience
  • Knowledge of donor management software Raisers Edge, Donor II
  • Knowledge of the moves management process
  • Knowledge of Annual Fund theory and execution
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities
  • The ability to work with members of The Senior Leadership Team
  • The ability to coordinate activities between multiple internal partners
  • Demonstrating strong written and verbal skills
